After watching a few TV home remodeling shows many of us think we are ready to manage a remodeling project of our own. My advice is don’t do it. Home renovations are intricate complex jobs that demand precise planning and attentive management. Recently I engaged Ian Clark Construction (ICC) of Anacortes to do three complete studs-out renovation projects of three bathrooms and a kitchen plus a redo of an existing fireplace. Two of those projects involved moving walls and the changing the footprints of bedrooms. All projects involved the total replacement of wiring, electrical, plumbing, appliances, and extensive tile work as well as the precise scheduling of multiple specialists. In addition to the required technical skills such work further demanded creativity and a very conscientious approach to planning as part of day-to-day management. All work was exceptionally well done; it was finished on time: it came in on budget. I recommend Ian Clark Construction without reservation.

I have had the pleasure of working with ICC on multiple different projects, of varying sizes and complexity, over the past several years. From complicated kitchen and bathroom remodels, to exterior upgrades to the construction of a large custom deck. On each project ICC was fantastic to work with throughout the process. In early 2020, confronted with having to close our family fitness center in Anacortes during the early stages of the COVID scare, we decided to take advantage of the closure and make some badly needed facility improvements and upgrades to our center. We reached out to Ian Clark of Ian Clark Construction to help us with a couple of small projects inside the existing building and for the construction of an addition that would become our new ETF studio. Ian and his team jumped in during a very difficult time with the interior projects and over the following year and a half completed those projects, built the new addition and finished up this fall building us a connecting vestibule between the fitness center and the new ETF addition. Except for the three months we were closed in early 2020, Ian and his team worked around our need to avoid any further disruption to our members and business. We are grateful to Ian for first of all being available jump in and help us when we needed it. Ian and his Team are professionals who do quality work, and we would highly recommend to others in need of a quality builder.

Ian Clark and his crew have renovated and restored multiple contemporary and historic homes for us over the last 18 years, and in every project they have demonstrated the highest of standards and integrity.
